SELF CARE

WHAT IS SELF CARE? WHY DO WE NEED IT ?

Self-care means taking care of yourself so that you can be healthy, you can be well, you can do your job, you can help and care for others, and you can do all the things you need to and want to accomplish in a day. Let me clear a myth ,  Self-care is not synonymous with self-indulgence or being selfish. it's simply being you and helping yourself grow .
If you think you’ve been hearing more about self-care now, you’re right. One indicator: According to Google Trends, the number of searches for “self-care” has more than doubled since 2015 which means that people have finally got to understand its value . We all know that It is  stress of trying to keep up with the pace of daily life, which technology has hastened more than ever. but self care  helps you to manage your stress , anxiety , panic , the ways you react to situations and most importantly its helps you being happyself-care includes everything related to staying physically healthy — including hygiene, nutrition, and seeking medical care when needed. It’s all the steps an individual can take to manage stressors in his or her life and take care of his or her own health and well-being.

YOU NEED TO MAKE YOURSELF A PRIORITY. We get so involved in our daily chores that we often forget to rest . And this can be termed as our biggest mistake . Even though we say sleep allows  our body and mind to rest but truly our subconscious mind is always awake . Now read this slowly. Imagine that you worked 20 hours the day and not you frown , your body gives you a sign that it cant work anymore similarly if your mind is not getting rest it freezes ,in daily life often feel blank , not wanting to do anything , or you may think you are exhausted for no reason but trust me THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON. Its a sign that your mind is completely worn out .

HOW TO MANAGE IT?

There are many ways to work upon yourself . A simple start can be :

1. REDUCE SCREEN TIME  : We  usually spend most of our time on phones , laptops , televisions ect.  and it has a really bad effect on our mind and eyes as well it can reduce concentration and cause much  more harm. As soon as you wake up your conscious  mind starts being active, and screens can creates chaos of negativity (news) as well as a sudden urge to  concentrate and cover up with others and give your mind a lot of pressure . No screen  time for 2 hours after you wake up can help you feel relaxed throughout the day .

 2.  MEDIDATION : Now since we said no to screen time, waking up early and meditating can  do a lot of good . its awakens your brain properly and increases concentration , keeps you calm .

3.  GRATEFULNESS: Look around yourself and think of the pleasures you have . Take a notebook and daily before you sleep write in 5 things you are grateful for ,it can be anything. This helps you to look at the brighter side of life  and also makes your mind go in positive zone which make you wake up peacefully, also helps to avoid sleep irritation or nightmares .

4.  SETTING BOUNDARIES:  Its okay to set boundaries , to let people know that they are making you feel uncomfortable and ask them to stop . And if they don't stop you can let them go . Cuz your first priority should be you.

5. SAYING NO: Learn to say no . If you don't want to do something then just don't . Don't allow people to cross the boundaries . A no means a no !

6. APPERICIATING YOUSELF: Giving yourself a few compliments can be as beautiful as taking compliments from others.

7. LOVE YOUSELF: The most important point of self care is to start loving yourself . treat yourself the way you would treat someone you love . Accept  your flaws ,they make you what you are . Love every part of you . You are beautiful , you are amazing , you are a pure soul .

You are doing amazing ! keep going !!
